GREENACRES, FL – Last month, local Republican businessman Brandon Cabrera was awarded by the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches as the 2023 ‘Young Professional of the Year.’ Every year, the Chamber acknowledges business leaders in the community in a wide range of fields such as Hospitality & Tourism Organization of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, Health and Human Services Organization of the Year, Diversity Organization of the Year, Young Professional of the Year, Small Businessperson of the Year, and Business of the Year.
“I remember four years ago when I came to this event for the first time. I watched everyone winning their awards and the words of Les Brown came to mind: ‘It’s possible.’ It’s possible that one day that might be me. Here we are today, and my heart is very full,” Cabrera said during his acceptance speech.

Mr. Cabrera was born and raised in District 93, and attended Palm Beach Central High School.
After working at the family business, Tropical Bakery, for many years, he established The BrandX Company, a Palm Beach County-based real estate development company, in 2018. Since then, Cabrera has built over 20 affordable single-family homes and 25 apartment units in central Palm Beach County, some of which are in District 93. If elected, Cabrera would become the first Hispanic American born in Palm Beach County to serve in the Florida legislature.
